Well I'm sure there are more than a few fingers in Dallas and maybe even in L.A. that are crossed on that one... there haven't been any rumors spreading around, but everyone has to wonder what Rick Carlisle and Mike Dunleavy were talking about yesterday during the SL game, whatever the conversation was pertaining to looked extremely interesting, and looked like Dunleavy was leading the conversation with some serious concerns, hey maybe I'm just reading something into nothing, but let's hope this has something to do with a certain "new" German and him coming to Dallas to join the Mavs squad.

I'm totally on board with getting Kaman, in any kind of fair deal. The mavs will definitely have to give up something to get him which I think would include Bass. They may see Bass as a replacement for Brand.
How about Damp and Bass for Kaman? (didnt check the salaries) It would give the mavs a real starting center for the first time basically ever. Bass is great but he plays behind Dirk cuz he really is a PF.

Hugo, Thanks for your comment, I have had to delete so many because they turned real bad, real quick! but I think the Mavs should definitely try to pick up Kaman, did you see what he and Dirk did to Cape Verde?!
I plan on putting the stats up on that soon, as well as a few notes from the Summer League.
I do really like Bass though, but you have to give to receive, I am all about getting rid of Dampier though, that guy is just heartless, and if you ask me if the PG is supposed to be the mind of the team, then the Center is supposed to be the heart..
ya I agree, the pg is the mind, the center the heart, and the forwards are the will. I guess that leaves the sg as the hair or something. You want it to look good, but how often does that really happen? lol
Lol, yeah the hair works, or just the overall icing on the cake. there are reports that the Mavs are back in talks with the Kings about Ron Artest, and that Josh Howard's name is coming up... what's your take on this?
Would Artest really be better than Josh? Maybe...
But the mavs do need some kind of shake up. And Artest might be hard core if he was back on a team that he knew was a contender.
Josh Howard is younger though, and theres something to be said for that. I guess I'm about 50/50 on it. I think I'd do it if the mavs could trade Howard and Eddie Jones for Artest and Salmons. Or something like that. Mavs could throw in McLeod too, i wouldnt mind LOL
I was hoping the Mavs would be able to keep Josh and maybe try him at the 2 spot and let him and Artest run together.. That wouldn't happen though... but if it did!
The thing is with Howard, this year he is going to be looking to redeem himself for last season's performance, and I definitely want him on our team for that.
But if he goes for Artest the Mavs should aim to get at least Salmons or Garcia as a back up... we'll probably have to eat Kenny Thomas's contract too though.. win some, lose some.
true. i dont think the mavs will trade howard anyhow. Not this summer at least.
I hope not, I have a feeling he's going to be on fire this year.
