The Big Bang!!

I'd rather not get MFFLers riled up by telling them about the journalists who thinks that the Mavericks are "declining" and have "Fallen from Championship status" those opinions do not matter to a real Maverick, nor a true Maverick
fan, and so they do not belong in this blog, in this blog, what we will talk about the Olympics, Dirk's new haircut, Foster going to Europe, Josh Smith going to the Grizz and of course as always trade rumors.

I have been getting tons of emails about Dirk's new hair cut, I decided to see it for myself, and... it's NOT THAT BAD!! of course, it's not that good either, but it's hair, it grows back, let Dirk and team Germany have some fun looking like Ron Artest!

In an unsurprising and unmotivating move the Dallas Mavericks have sent their 2008 draft pick over to Europe, so uh,... why didn't we trade up for a higher spot in the draft, oh.. that's right!
because Foster was a steal at 58, well I guess not.

I guess Shan Foster wasn't all he was cracked up to be, at least not yet.
"This gives him valuable playing experience in one of the top leagues in Europe," Nelson said. "He performed well in summer league but ... this gives him a chance to improve. His future is very bright, and we're excited about him rejoining us next summer. This also gives the Mavs roster flexibility, which may prove valuable in the current free-agent market."
(which the Mavericks have been completely inactive in.)
well if anything hopefully this leaves the door open for Reyshawn Terry to join the team this year, he has showed a lot during the Summer League and could prove to be very impressive.

Kiss your Josh Smith to Dallas dreams away, Smith had been signed to a $58 million dollar deal with the Grizzlies until Atlanta matched the offer, they played it the smart way, they wanted to see how much Smith would go for in the market so they wouldn't over pay him, and by matching the offer they show Smith that they are "dedicated" to keeping him, win-win for Atlanta.

For the time being it seems as if the Mavericks camp are quite content with their team, although Andre Iguodala trades were drawn up and argued about across many websites and chat rooms, no such name has come out of the mouth with the money, Mavs Owner Mark Cuban, so this looks like another big N.O. for all of the guys that spent their day configuring sweet deals in ESPN's trade machine, sorry guys, no big bang trades yet.
